LAST NIGHT, REPUBLICAN presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
But if you thought Jimmy Fallon was going to challenge Donald Trump on, say, his refusal to retract his comments about President Barack Obama not being born in the United States or the time he mocked the mother of a Muslim soldier killed in Iraq, you were dead wrong.
Because instead of interrogating Trump on his controversial views and policies, Fallon opted to… ruffle Trump’s hair
At one point, Fallon briefly touched on Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin. (Trump has previously stated that, if elected President, he believes that he would have a “very, very good relationship with Putin” and praised his leadership abilities.)
In response, Trump claimed to “know nothing” about Putin and maintained that he didn’t know him.
Viewers were unhappy and criticised Fallon for “humanising a monster” and treating him like a regular celebrity guest and not, you know, a presidential candidate.
